Our guest is Aga Kankanyan, makeup artist, fashion designer, stylist, leading beauty blogger, who is also the founder of Aga Kankanyan Image Studio fashion center and Aga Kankanyan Beauty Tools brander.
- Hello, dear Aga, when and how did your career and success path, in general, begin?
- Hello, my career began yet in 90s, when I was studying at Atex fashion center as a fashion designer. To make my characters perfect during fashion shows, I was doing makeup to the models. So, the fairy tale began, and I am very proud for that.
- How did the family atmosphere affect the choice of your profession?
- In my family I was very different with my dreams, creativity and thinking, anyhow my upbringing was so good, that I think, regardless of my professional orientation, I grew up with high human virtues, which are of great importance in life.
- What do you think, what is the role of a man in the success or failure of woman’s career?
- In everybody’s life, be a man or a woman, the role of a spouse is tremendous. The support of spouses is very essential. It really helps you to succeed in life.
- Do the children prevent or motivate a woman to achieve the maximum?
- It depends on a woman. My children were source of inspiration for me, motivation to become even better.
- How you start your working day?
It starts very early, as generally I do makeup of brides. I like this kind of start of the day very much, day begins aesthetic and happy, as the brides trust me their most important day, so I share that excitement and love with them.
- Way to success is full of obstacles. What difficulties have you encountered during your journey? Was there ever a moment when you wanted to give up, do nothing...
- Nothing can stop me. I was always like this, but it doesn’t mean that I faced no difficulties. My type is not one to give up, I always struggle against these difficulties.
- As a successful Armenian businesswoman, what advice would you give to women who are just starting their long career path or have not yet achieved noticeable success?
- My advice is not afraid of anything, do not give up, at the same time do not afraid of self-education, self-development, and self-improvement.
- What is your biggest achievement in life?
- My family, children, and my team.
- What will you wish the women?
- I will wish them love and nothing else. When your life is filled with love, then you will succeed in everything.
